Programs
The preschool and children’s ministries at Woodland Hills seek to serve parents by partnering with them in the mighty and awesome task of teaching and training. We recognize that parents have the ultimate duty before God to teach and instruct children in righteousness. Our greatest desire is that boys and girls grow up to be men and women that love the Lord their God with all their heart, all their mind and with all their strength.
George Barna research indicates that an estimated 75-80% of children who are raised in a Christian home will leave their faith before they leave college. Let us partner with you to raise a generation that can stand against the culture, and that when the battles of life come they will know how to stand for God.
Childcare is provided for children from birth through Pre-K during all regular services of the church in a safe and fun environment. Our caregivers seek to make the most of every opportunity to show the children the love and Christ and point them to knowledge of our Lord.
Sunday School - 9:00 - 10:00 A.M.: Bible Fellowship Groups are provided for children ages 2 years-6th grade. The curriculum introduces children to biblical stories, concepts, and doctrine and includes a formal 6 year scripture memory program. Childcare is provided for children under 2.
Sunday Morning Service - 10:30 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.: Children birth through pre-k are welcome to stay with their classes for continued play and bible stories. School age children attend the worship service with their parent.
Wednesday Evenings: child care is provided for children from birth through 2 years old.
AWANA - Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15)
AWANA clubs meet every Wednesday. The clubs and times are as listed:
- Cubbies: 3 & 4 year olds meet from 6:30 – 7:30
- Sparks: K-2nd grade meet from 6:30 – 7:45
- T & T: 3rd – 6th grade meet from 6:30 – 8:00
Each week children will play games that are unique to AWANA, memorize scripture and learn to apply it to their lives. You can learn more about the AWANA program by going to www.awana.org
