Jesus said:
“ Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20

C.A.R.E. is a ministry that helps the church be more effective in reaching out to guests, members and our community. Its purpose is to expand the Kingdom of God by developing disciples and reaching out to those who don’t know Christ.
The C.A.R.E. Ministry is a testimony of how God can lead a congregation of believers, like ours, to do what Jesus commanded. The life of a disciple is an incredible, life-changing journey. One we hope you will walk with us.
This journey reflects what an Awesome God can do through ordinary people like us here at WHC. Our desire as a church is to see God’s people live out the Great Commission and C.A.R.E. for those around us.
We Want to See Christians Actively Reaching Everyone
Christians – People, not a building or a steeple.
When Jesus commanded people to…”Go and make disciples…” He was speaking to believers. We are the ones being invited by the Savior of the world to join Him in His plan to redeem people from every tribe and nation and to show people we C.A.R.E. for them.
Actively – Participating not spectating.
When Jesus commanded people to…”Go and make disciples…” He was not speaking as though it were optional. Making disciples means we must GO. It’s imperative that we leave the four walls of the building and get into the lives of the people around us by caring for them.
Reaching – Reaching in and reaching out.
When Jesus commanded us to…’teach them to obey’ it’s implied that in order for us to teach, we must first reach. We C.A.R.E. by reaching IN and also reaching OUT to those in our fellowship and those outside our church body.
Everyone – Believers and un-believers alike.
When Jesus commanded us to…’make disciples of all nations...” He was clearly referring to both believers and soon-to-be-believers. We desire for God to use our church body as a catalyst to make disciples in Western North Carolina and the world at large.
